Karnali Yaks were an important part of the first edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL). Karnali Yaks presented themselves with the same enthusiasm and dedication in this competition, which was held grandly at the TU Ground in Kirtipur.
Everyone is aware that our contribution as a franchise team was significant in the grand success of the first NPL.Karnali Yaks, while representing a province, not only contributed to Nepali cricket by signing world champion opener Shikhar Dhawan of the Indian national team, but also had a significant impact on the promotion of sports tourism in the country.
It was a matter of pride for us to bring a player like Dhawan to Nepal. Our team’s performance was also at a high level in terms of competition. Although we could not win the title and play in the final, we managed to reach the playoffs of such a grand league and increase the pride of all the people of Karnali.
